I would like to say special thanks to three beautiful people.

I would like to extend a special thank you to a very special friend. If it were not for you L.J., I would still be living in an abusive marriage. I have you to thank for being free from the bondages that had me bound in life. You my friend are a gem to behold and I can never thank you enough for all you have done for me. THE JOURNEY OF LIFE
My life has taken on many shapes over the journey of life.
There have been rough edges and soft forms along its way.
With each passing day, my life changes into a beautiful
spectrum of colors, some gray, some brilliant with color,
dashed with soft hues...

Many people have entered my life on this journey.
Some made it rich, while others tore from my heart.
I will never change the pattern of this journey

There have been many tears with this journey
always dashed with laughter, but the spirit of hope lives on.
Never to allow my heart to die or the love I have inside.
Always looking to the future to be loved, wanted and cared for...

Sometimes we don't always get what we wish for in life,
other times many are blessed beyond their means and are unaware
of the beauty and love they should cherish.
But love as it may be is always there, we need to search to find it

We must cherish each moment of each day and believe in what we have.
One must never lose site of our hope, dreams and the journey we should
follow. The journey might be tough but the changing pattern of
colors brings new life. Friends shaped my life, bringing hope and life
with it.

I will treasure my friends forever...never taking them for granted,
always loving them, for who they are, allowing them to live their journey,
giving them the love they so deserve and the laughter that brightens the
soul. My journey is on a new path and I cherish each and every change
along the way.

For on this journey I have made new friends, old friends have passed on
or stayed with me. Each day I create a new path for my journey to follow
and each day I learn to love and trust more, allowing myself to feel again.

BATTERED WOMAN
Life was to be sweet with love so complete then I married a man who loved to beat.
The love that we shared, oh it seemed so rare with his hand raised, I became scared.
Life took a turn, I lost my insight to a man who took all of my life.
I sat in fear day and night as my tears did burn and my heart took flight.
